From lists.opencsw.org at mavit.org.uk Wed Sep 7 22:44:34 2016 From: lists.opencsw.org at mavit.org.uk (Peter Oliver) Date: Wed, 7 Sep 2016 21:44:34 +0100 Subject: Which branch is for me? Message-ID: Page https://www.opencsw.org/get-it/releases/ says "Our release branches are modeled after Debian" and goes on to discuss the unstable and testing branches in more detail. I think this is misleading, because the stable branch of Debian receives bugfixes, whereas OpenCSW stable hasn't seen any updates since 2014. Is bratislava abandoned? Are all OpenCSW releases abandoned once they are declared stable? Is there a schedule for promoting munich to stable? If the plan is "when it's ready", are there criteria for deciding that? I had a look around the wiki, but didn't find anything obvious. Thanks. -- Peter Oliver -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... So the only branches to use are unstable and testing atm. As unstable packages are auto promoted to testing after 14 days if no bug is opened against that package: http://buildfarm.opencsw.org/package-promotions/promote-packages.html Hope that helps.
