Well, its not a final version, but through a bit of brute-force hackery, I
have what you might call an early preview recompiled version.

For sparc only at this point:

pkg-get -U -s http://buildfarm.opencsw.org/opencsw/experimental/phil -u
gimplibs gimp_minimal

should give it to you to play with.

I can say that I have at least installed it, and "it starts up"
Let me know if it fixes the crashing problem for you please.

Printing is.. .a more complex issue.
