[csw-maintainers] build8s and build9s inconsistancies

I was building a package, amanda, on build8s and everything was going
fine but given that Solaris 8 is no longer supported I figured I'd move
over to the Solaris 9 build machines. The code compiles fine but the
staging of the package is incomplete on build9s, whether I use
'stagepkg' or 'gmake DESTDIR=$PWD/cswstage install' the results are the
same.

The staging fails when setting permission, see below, on some of the
binaries and I have no idea why. I compared the CSW packages and they
are identical on both machine so I'm wondering if its something in the OS.

Has anyone else run across this before?
