Solved in a bad way. It's like running a server with one PSU, no UPS
and a single disk but stating that everything is perfect because you
have a spare server on the shelf. In the real world those passive
standby systems are rarely up to the task but needs tinkering to say
the least to do the job when tested. Active standby systems don't only
share the load when everything works, they also immediately pick up
the slack when one server goes down. That's how you design systems. Or
processes in our case.
