Your point is taken, but I'm more interested in defining our criteria
for what separates 'stable' from 'snapshot' for the purposes of
advancing the discussion.  When we've agreed what our basis of quality
is, people will be in a better situation to determine if they (or a
small group) can tackle the responsibility of enforcing the quality
we've defined as our benchmark.

An elderly relative used to say (paraphrased): "Only people in the
army volunteer for missions before they know what the mission consists
of."
