well there is a bit... this needs to be written up officially, and
also specify what allowable arguments to "build" are.

Also, it needs to be defined which arguments are "mandatory" to
support, vs which are optional.

We should have a new clean thread for this.
Mr. secretary are you going to handle that, or shall I? :-)
