You may see more in the way of issues when (and this is well in the
future, I think), you add remove files in a directory viewed by an
open nautilus window or something.  Just a guess, but that's where I'd
expect to see the issues more than with concurrent file edits.

(Obviously this doesn't get you closer to an answer...)
