The patches it's trying to apply don't exist...?  It's building the
PATCHFILES dynamically using the current PATCHREV and trying to
reference 001 - $(PATCHREV).  It ends up creating symlinks to
non-existent files in /home/src.

The patch mechanism them bails trying apply a non-existent file.

I think you should just comment out PATCHFILES or possibly use the two
.patch files in files/ as they do exist.
