An important distinction between these two options is that pkg-get
would _only_ consider packages at the alternate url.  Thus, you didn't
get any required dependency updates from the main catalog.

With pkgutil, on the other hand, you get your primary catalog, with
this temporary catalog overlaid.  That means you'll get any packages
from the temporary url and any dependencies that may live in the main
catalog.  It's much more useful this way. :)
