Ikiwiki is a wiki that is based on a git repository (other scm's
supported too, I think). You can edit via the web (easy, low barrier)
or push new material to that git repo after using whatever tools you
want (harder, more flexible).
Might that be a useful too here? I'm not familiar with the ikiwiki
markup though...it could be a deal breaker.
