I have uninstalled sun's gnome alredy and tried to use Gnome 2.6 and I still run into the same problem. It looks like Gnome is hanging when gnome-session is run. This also occurs with Evolution. They seem to run at 50% - 99% CPU in top, but nothing seems to happen on screen. Is there any advice as to what I can do to get some sort of debugging information to provide some additional information?

Now I still have the original Sun Gnome installed, do I need to uninstall it first before I can run Gnome 2.6?
