This package comes in a patch (and in more recent releases of S8) --
you might want to ensure your system is fully patched up, or install a
more recent release of S8.  The package should probably be checking
for the relevant patch and reporting whether or not you have it -- you
could raise a bug on the package to suggest this to the maintainer.
