Hey guys,

I've been using blastwave for quite some time now. No major problems.
However, there were a few issues with running firefox under Solaris 8.
Here are the steps that I took:

1. Fresh install of Solaris 8 06/00 (Developer User Support Install)

2. Installed all the latest patches using 'pca' (Patch Check Advance)

3. Firefox started from commandline with the following command:
firefox. Currently logged in as root. (root homedir = /root)

Issues:

1. Firefox complains off 108652-79 not being installed (Xsun patch).
However, this has been obsoleted by 119067-05 (which is installed on
the system).

2. Firefox complains off 108435 not being installed. Tried installing
108435-22 (32-bit version) and patchadd terminates with the error "one
or more packages included in 108435-22 is not installed in this
system."

3. Firefox constantly prompts the default browser question at startup.
Running firefox as a regular user eliminates this issue. Looks like
firefox settings are not saved in the /root homedir.

Thanks for the wonderful work and your help.

Amit
