I'm not really sure what you want to demonstrate above, is it a
problem with your logs or with your clients not getting IP addresses?
Did you have a working configuration with version 3 that now doesn't
work with version 4?
I upgraded from 3 to 4 with no configuration changes and it works.

You may be able to keep the manifest and service script, they are
located in /var/opt/csw/svc. If you go back to v3 you can then import
the manifest manually.
