[csw-users] Selecting 32 or 64 MySQL server

Going forward with this:
Here is a drop-in replacement suggestion for /etc/opt/csw/init.d/cswmysql5.
It's based on the mysql.server script that is part of the current source
(see related https://www.opencsw.org/mantis/view.php?id=4971).
It sources /etc/opt/csw/csw.conf, adding those lines allow to change
which binary is run. Without them, it just starts the usual 32-bit version.
###
# Configure the default and specific architectures
# If *_arch is set to "kernel", try to use what isainfo -k suggests
# Possible values are i386, amd64, sparcv8, sparcv8plus, sparcv9, ...
# Empty means use the default 32 bit binary
#default_arch=
mysql5_arch=kernel
#mysql5_arch=amd64
#mysql5_arch=i386
###
I had to fix some Solaris-specific bugs, one is that
bin/amd64/mysqld_safe actually checks for $pwd/libexec/mysqld and run it
if it is found. So I changed the «cd $basedir» to «cd /opt» to make it
fall back on the proper libexec/amd64/mysqld. That really is a MySQL
issue rather than OpenCSW, the myswld_safe script prevents defaulting to
a bin/$arch/ subdirectory.
You can diff it against /opt/csw/share/mysql/mysql.server to see what I
did. Nothing terribly complicated, I think.
So I think it might be better to have 32-bit mysqld go into libexec/i386/.
Not extensively tested, Works On My System is all I can say about it so
far, I'm also going to try it on sparc (and run it there if it works).

# If you install MySQL on some other places than /opt/csw, then you
# have to do one of the following things for this script to work:
#
# - Run this script from within the MySQL installation directory
# - Create a /etc/my.cnf file with the following information:
# [mysqld]
# basedir=<path-to-mysql-installation-directory>
# - Add the above to any other configuration file (for example ~/.my.ini)
# and copy my_print_defaults to /usr/bin
# - Add the path to the mysql-installation-directory to the basedir variable

#
# If you want to affect other MySQL variables, you should make your changes
