well, there's "not supported", and there's "knowingly pursuing a path
that breaks on opensolaris".

I think we should avoid the latter.

you have this thread with a very generic title.
if you want to propose a specific hack, for a specific package only,
then I suggest you start a new, cleanly titled mail thread?
