[csw-maintainers] An idea: monthly IRC meetings

Hello, community!

We've been using IRC for a long time, but it's been informal, and we'd
meet at random times. We've also been meeting in real life, but only
every 6 months. How about combining the two ideas and establishing
monthly IRC meetings? They could constitute a useful middle ground
between the slow paced, low-interaction mailing list and
high-interaction but costly IRL meetings.

Here are some proposed details:

- The meeting would be held on a designated day of week on e.g. every
Nth week of the month, or something like "last Wednesday of the
month".
- The meeting would be 1h hour long. A designated person would track
the time and indicate transitions between agenda items.
- The agenda would be on our wiki, where project members would add
items they want to discuss.
- Meeting logs would not be publicly accessible (this doesn't rule out
local logging)

Here is a wiki page I started, with agenda items:
http://wiki.opencsw.org/irc-meeting-agenda

Please add items. If there will be too many items for an 1h meeting,
we'll move the items to the next one.

I have created a doodle so we can pick the best date and time for everybody.

When selecting a date, don't just think "Nth of May", but think
"Monday" or "Wednesday" and how it fits into your week. For me for
example, Thursdays would be non-optimal, because of my other weekly
activities.

All times are in UTC, please take your time zone into account. For
example, 17:00 UTC is 18:00 CEST (Central Europe), is 12:00 EST (East
Coast), is 09:00 PST (West Coast).

Here's the doodle for the meeting:

Please pick times that suit you best.

Maciej
