Hello OpenCSW users,

You might have already heard about the automated release process,
which has been discussed on the maintainers mailing list in the last
couple of months. The idea has been written up[1], then voted on and
accepted[2]. At about the same time, the package release manager has
unfortunately retired from the project[3]. You might have noticed the
pause in package releases that started about a week and a half ago.
To respond to the new situation, project members are working hard on
the accelerated transition to the new release process. Most of the
elements of the new system are already in place; current efforts focus
on catalog signing and testing of the system as a whole.

Meanwhile, work on packages is going on as usual. All upgraded
packages are currently lining up for release, you can expect a larger
number of updates when the new process goes live. We'll keep you
posted.
